Getting Ready for New School Year

“All About me”
Dear Parents,

Beginning of the school Year, one of the themes that we will be doing is “All about Me”. We want to explore and get the children understanding about them as an individual and how they are part of a bigger family, school, city, country, and continent. We will highlight a child in the class every week to participate in the theme. Names are picked randomly. You can bring items in Friday afternoon at pick-up and will be picked up the next Friday at pick-up.
This project will take you working with your child to collect the items, bring them in, and arrange in all the items on the space given for the project. The items will be posted in the classroom for one week starting Monday Sept 10th and when done we will give you the items back. All the topics must be able to fit on a normal size piece of paper. 8 ½ x 11

My favorite book: You can bring the book in and we will read it that week. You can take a pic of it to put on the board. They can try and draw the book cover.

My favorite stuffed animal: you can bring it in, take a pic of it with your child to put on the board.

My favorite foods: you can take a picture of it, they can draw it, you can have them cut out pictures of it and make it a collage

My family and baby picture: can be immediate, or extended, 2-3 pictures would be fine. Can have 2-3 of them. Can make a collage, they can draw themselves.

My favorite place to visit: can print out for computer, can bring a map, an info pamphlet, can draw or take a picture of the place.

What I want to be when I grow up: can make a collage of it, take a pic of them doing it, take a pic of someone working in it. Can have them draw it as well.

My favorite color: make shapes with it on the paper, paint it on a paper, pics of them wearing it.
