October Highlights

The Fall Season in the classroom

The Butterfly room is going thru the Alphabet. Make sure you take a look at the wonderful artwork they are creating. With each letter they learn a list of words as well. You can go over the list with them.

Show and Tell- Fridays beginning this Friday October 2nd, the 3yr olds and up can bring something from home to show and tell to the classroom. Please let the item be as simple as possible. If the item is very expensive, please inform the Teacher ahead of time so that before and after the show and tell, we can keep the item in the office

The fall season has arrived. Time for changing and falling leaves, pumpkins, apple cider, turkeys, and hayrides. In celebration of this changing season, We are going to have a small field trip over to Gethsemane Garden Center on October 16th.

Pumpkin Picking:     October16th, 2015 from 9:30am to 11:30am
Location: we will leave the daycare center and walk over to Gethsemane located at 5739 N.  Clark. Chicago, IL. 60660.

The children will get to pick a small pumpkin to bring home that day.
Please let us know if you are interested in coming along with us. All are welcome.

                                   Peanutbutter at the Daycare

Diana’s daycare center has stated that we are a nut free daycare since our opening. It has come to our attention that we have some children that are vegetarian and due to limiting of meat products they allow their children to eat peanut butter. We want to offer peanut butter to add variety to the menu and cater to their needs as well. We would like to ask you the parents to answer the question of whether any of you would have a problem with us offering peanut butter to the age appropriate children in the daycare as a snack option.
No one has stated that their child has a peanut allergy. We know that for anyone allergic to anything such as peanuts, even the smell of the peanuts is enough to cause a reaction.
We care about your thoughts and any concerns that you may have.
Please fill out the bottom and return it to us. By October 9th.
If all approved we will begin giving peanut butter in November.

Thank you,                                             Diana Anderson, Director
